This November, agent rankings on Rate-My-Agent.com will be updated for recency. This means recent ratings and reviews will have a bigger impact to the rankings compared to older ones.
Agents that were consulted about this change all agreed that the update will make rankings more fair.
Buyers and sellers researching agents on the website will find it easier to compare recent reviews of top agents in their city. Given that recent reviews relate to newly closed transactions, it gives the rankings more relevance to their research. “A handful of reviews from 3 years ago doesn’t help me much,” claimed one customer. “If anything, it makes me question if the agent is still active.”
This update in rankings will also give new agents to the platform a better chance to rank.
